CCIS Reception
The CCIS Reception Volunteers greet all internationals at the main entrance desk of the Bechtel International Center.
Volunteers cover shifts every weekday afternoon from 2:00pm to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 10:00am - 12:30 pm on Friday during the Stanford academic year, except holiday breaks and the summer quarter. We ask for volunteers to commit to one 2-1/2 hour shift per month, and more if possible.
CCIS Reception Volunteers assist internationals with learning about the various CCIS programs and classes; direct them to Resource Center; refer them to the Bechtel Center staff when necessary, and serve as a general ombudsman, to help them wend their way through the campus and life at Stanford. A two-hour orientation is required to participate in this CCIS Program.
